OCD and Anxiety
It isn’t easy to keep up with your healthy eating and exercise behaviors with the stress of home, relationships, social media and more pressing down on you or your child. If you or someone you know needs help making minor adjustments in disordered eating behaviors and thinking patterns or would benefit from a less intensive level of care after treatment in a residential or inpatient setting, one of our two levels of specialized outpatient programs may be right for you:
Serving children, teens and adults with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and other eating disorders, these day treatment programs often lasting six to eight weeks offer you supervised meals, nutritional education and medical monitoring. While in treatment, you’ll have an individualized care plan and a treatment approach based on evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with an emphasis on graduated exposure and response prevention (ERP). Adults with co-occurring depression who have not seen improvement in depression symptoms with the combination of therapy and medication may be a candidate for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). You and your team can decide if this approach is right for you. Available on the Oconomowoc campus.
With a care team led by a board-certified adult or child/adolescent psychiatrist specializing in eating disorders, we help you reach the healthy place you want to be, while you stay connected with family, friends, school or work. Between programming sessions, you can practice the skills and techniques you learn in treatment and continue to build your resilience.
Family involvement and education play key roles in your or your child's treatment success. We’ll help you and your family address the social, emotional and medical aspects related to your disorder and gain skills to continue a healthy life beyond Rogers.
