Invite a friend or business to hold a holiday drive for Rogers’ young patients

FDNthumb.jpg“This is the best place ever!”

This is a direct quote from a child at Rogers after opening her presents during a special holiday party on her unit. She and more than 449 other children and teens at Rogers were able to experience joy over the holiday season last year, thanks to many organizations and businesses who held a “Give for a Better Day” holiday drive for patients at Rogers.

Each year, individuals, organizations, retailers, and corporations hold clothing or toy drives for a variety of non-profits. Many people do not realize that our young patients at Rogers would also cherish the opportunity to be the recipients of their giving.

Spread the word! Simply attach the flyer to an email and send it to your friends or post it to your social media wall. Invite them to talk with their employers about showing their support for mental health and wellness by holding a special “Give for a Better Day” holiday drive. This drive, along with direct donations to the Angel Fund, benefit the youngest of patients throughout Rogers Behavioral Health locations across the country. Because our patients have special requirements, encourage them to read the gift criteria prior to purchasing their gifts and only select gifts from the recommended list of items.

The Foundation provides assistance to businesses holding a holiday drive. Contact Linda Schieble at lschieble@rogershospital.org for more information.
