blood.jpgRogers–Brown Deer campus hosted its first ever blood drive through the Red Cross on October 9. Based on results given by the Red Cross, the donations were enough to save approximately 72 lives.

A total of 24 units was collected, which came from 25 whole blood donations and three power red donations. Heather Hodorowski, manager of experiential therapy, organized the event and says that she hopes to do more in the future and will try to collaborate with Employee Health to raise more awareness for the next event to have an even better turnout.

“It was a great first drive according the Red Cross,” Heather adds, “And according to them the first drive is the hardest!”
